X-Men: Apocalypse Review

X-Men: Apocalypse continues the uplifting emotional intensity established in X-Men: First Class and X-Men: Days of Future Past, as well as the humor from the latter.  What distinguishes this film is the origin of Cyclops, Storm, and Jean Grey (sort of).  The villain here is also one of the more formidable.

This comes from a guy with no comic book reading credentials.

Quicksilver's return is not to be missed and quite possibly the highlight of the film.  Furthermore, this film is set in the 1980's, Jean Grey's neon and Scott Summers' shades are especially representative.

There are also some bloody good surprises.

There's not much more that I can say or want to say.  This film was nearly as fun as Captain America: Civil War.
