X-Files: More Truth to Uncover

I reread my last post and realized that I was a total slack-wad!  Posting and submitting my writing prematurely is one of my bad habits!  I've cleaned up the writing and I've added pictures.  Granted, these pictures are readily available on Google but now they are all there for convenient viewing.

More history.  Actually, the first X-Files I ever saw was the movie, X-Files: Fight the Future.  I was still in high school (before my professor got me interested in the series).  Growing up, I was firmly a movie person.  I didn't become serious about television viewing and collecting until college.

I'm thinking I might put out a favorite mythology episodes list as well.  That will be a challenge and wouldn't be ready for some time.  However, I think it's an appropriate follow-up.  I'm also thinking  about sharing more of my runners-up episodes, which I found intriguing but invariably disappointing in some way.

The X-Files: Favorite Episodes

I started watching The X-Files late.  It wasn't until mid-2006 when my professor/advisor recommended the show that I seriously considered it.  I started watching reruns of the series in 2007. In 2008, I started buying the DVDs (seasons 3-6).  This past Christmas, I got seasons 1, 2, and 7.  I generally reject seasons 8 and 9.  There's decent stuff but I just need my Mulder fix, even though I like to pick on him (sort of).

When selecting my favorite X-Files episodes, I naturally started with the episodes that stayed in my memory years after seeing them.  To round the list out, I then read over IMDb episode synopses to refresh my memory.  Then I reviewed some of those specific episodes from my DVD collection.  Kept some and passed on others.

First off, I'm not a big fan of the mythology episodes; I appreciate the complexity and the ingenuity of these episodes, I just don't enjoy them as much. I'm a fan of the "standalone"/"creature of the week"/"monster of the week" episodes.  I love the hardcore thrillers as well as the ones with ample dark comedy.

I may add some pictures at a later date, or later tonight (5-7-15).

Wishing Allie MacDonald Well On Her X-Files Audition

Allie's Twitter: "TrustNo1" tat clearly visible. Pray they notice when I audition for reboot.

Do they CGI those out if they don't like them?  Probably.  Maybe just make-up.

Anyhow, here's a post about her relating to actual film information.  What in the world might she get?  What to go out for?  Not that that means much, as casting directors defy auditioning actors' initial choices quite frequently.  Anyhow, good luck to her.

I hope she gets and posts a video copy of it (like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Baby Daddy auditions).  If she does get it, there's the role itself and possibly audition footage on special features.

I think all of her roles have been Canadian, I hope Hollywood works out one way or another.  We want her to be here long term.  I sure do.
